I’ve stayed here five or six times and keep coming back. It’s a great place to stay if you like older, funky motels. It’s not a resort, and the rooms are dated, but the wood paneling and 60’s-style bathroom and kitchen tiles are charming. The place is always very clean, and both the wall heaters and swamp coolers have worked great for me. The people who run it are super responsive to emails and calls and work hard to make each stay good. The pool is always maintained, the linens are nice, the ice machine works well, and the beds are comfortable. I’ll stay here again.

When I visit my family, who’ve lived in Bishop for five generations, I stay at the Village Motel. It’s a lovely step back in time, in all the good ways. The rooms are clean and beautiful, and the staff are extremely accommodating. There’s a nice swimming pool, and most things in Bishop are an easy walk away.

The room was basic, but the bed was really comfortable, and the hot water had good pressure. Food and drinks were just a few minutes’ walk away. The woman who checked me in was very nice, and I really enjoyed my stay at this classic mountain town hotel.

A decent place for the night. The room was clean, and the microwave worked okay even though its turntable didn’t sit right. The rust around the bathroom windows was a bit gross.

Adrianna is amazing, and we come back every year. The location and price are hard to beat, especially since some rooms have full kitchens. I almost don’t want to share this place and give away the secret. We’ll be back next year :)
