The common area was great and well equipped, and after our hike we were glad to relax in a hammock. The rooms were cute, clean, and cosy. A perfect stop on the way to Yosemite or along scenic 395.

The community room setup made this a great place to gather, and the beds were really comfortable. It’s a cute spot in a central location, right on Bishop’s main street. The only downside was kids above us running around and occasionally having an audible tantrum, but that’s not the hotel’s fault.

I love Eastside Bivy, right in the middle of Bishop, CA. I photographed a wedding reception there for an adorable couple, and the setup worked really well. They brought in their own coffee shop cart and hired a BBQ caterer. The outdoor area is beautiful and shaded, and there’s an indoor space with garage-style doors for rain or bad weather. There was room for 50+ guests, with space left for a dance floor and games. The couple and some of their wedding party could stay at the hotel, which made everything easy. I’d definitely recommend it to couples getting married in Bishop.

We were running behind, and they kindly let us keep the room for an extra hour past checkout. It worked out great for exploring Bishop, with lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance and a bakery right next door. The layout is nice, with well lit shared areas and private rooms, and there are lots of rooms and options. The room was nice, though a little warm because the AC couldn’t be set below 68 degrees. Really cool spot, and I’d definitely stay again.

A lot of thought went into this place, down to the details. My micro room was sparkling clean and comfortable, and the email and text communication was terrific. A great option for setting up base in Bishop for a Mammoth run.
