Trees Motel

I couldn’t get the wifi connected, which was my one complaint. Room 107 was clean, cozy, and had a homey feel. I was glad to find a kitchenette with a toaster oven, microwave, fridge, coffeemaker, dishes, and utensils, plus a little bar with seats set apart from the rest of the room. The small stand-up shower was interesting, and the decor was cute. It was really comfortable.

There are still good people in the world. After a few tries to reach them by phone, I spoke with Stephanie about cancelling at the last minute because of the nearby fires, and she was very understanding. I’m looking forward to staying here next time I’m in Bishop.

I spent a week here, September 1 - 7, 2024, and liked it so much I didn’t want to leave. The room was clean and roomy, and the bed was extremely comfortable, with the softest sheets and comforter. Outside, there are nice chair swings, and my favorite spot was the grassy common area out front. Shade trees cover it, with plenty of chairs where you can relax and watch the sunset over the mountains to the west. It’s a cozy, comfortable place in a good location. Manager Jason was kind and friendly, and all the staff I met were nice and accommodating. I’ll stay here again on my next trip to Bishop.

There were spiders and webs all over, bugs coming out of cracks in the walls, and flies in the room. The walls also had mold, and the lights didn’t work. The room looked nothing like the pictures. The beds and floors were stained, there was hair everywhere, and the bathroom looked horrible. The floors were taped together, and the towels were stained even when freshly delivered. The soap gave me a rash. People in other rooms were calling the manager about the loud TV.
