The kids had a good time in the pool, and the front desk was friendly when we arrived and throughout the stay. Rose was especially attentive. We did have a headache at first because the agency we booked through cancelled our reservation. After several calls and some problem solving, we realized it wasn't the hotel's fault. The manager worked with us to restore the booking, though was rude and defensive at first. We were also charged more for our dog than we'd originally been told, which was a surprise, but we were okay paying it. There isn't a banquet or meeting room for a large group; we were told that's because it's a "limited" hotel. It was a good stay overall.

The hot breakfast was very good, with hot eggs of some kind and breakfast meat each morning, not just starches or instant oatmeal packets. The bed was comfortable with plenty of soft pillows, the price was reasonable, and the room was well insulated so hallway and adjoining-room noise didn't bother me. The cleanliness was the problem. I found a used chunk of soap in the tub drain, so the bathroom hadn't been fully cleaned. Brandon, the staff member on duty, came up and cleaned the whole bathroom, even wiping the floor on his hands and knees. He had offered to move me, but understood I didn't want to repack after unpacking. He also checked that the bed had been changed and cleaned. I'd give five stars except for the room's cleanliness. For that price, the dated hotel doesn't quite offer the value it should.

The lobby was decent and the staff were kind, but the rooms were so bad I can only give one star. I felt uncomfortable trying to sleep and worried I'd see bed bugs. To be clear, we never saw any, but the room was disgusting enough that I couldn't stop worrying and wondering when we'd stop itching. The bedding and carpet were dirty, the couch was too gross to sit on, and crumbs were in every drawer and corner. It smelled horrible when we arrived. The bathroom was dirty, the floors were sticky, food was on the walls in both the bathroom and room, both the sink and tub drains were clogged, and there was mold on the bathroom walls. I don't think the staff have a standard for cleaning rooms. I hate that my children had to stay in such a filthy place. I'd post photos, but the site won't let me. I wouldn't recommend staying here and won't return.

I wish we'd stayed somewhere else. The room was dirty and very outdated, and there are lots of repairs and renovations needed. It smelled intensely musty, the air conditioner didn't work properly, and there was a can in the fridge. The staff we met were good, but hair was everywhere: floor, bathroom counter, sink, tub, and even the bed. I wasn't satisfied and won't stay again. Update: We found more hair, both men's and women's, on the towels, so we called the front desk. They couldn't refund us, but moved us to another room. That one still had hairs on the pillows, though the bathroom was cleaner. I don't know whether the first room hadn't been cleaned before we arrived or the fabrics aren't being washed and dried properly, but I'm still very unhappy with the experience.
