Room 4 was clean and comfortable, though the bathroom felt a bit tight for a big guy like me. We’ve stayed at The Grey Swan plenty of times over the years, and this was our first visit since the new management took over. The self-serve breakfast was nice, and the living and dining rooms were decked out for Christmas. Christopher and Jess were easy to reach whenever we had a question. The place now has the convenience of an AirBNB with the feel of a Victorian bed and breakfast. We had a delightful stay.

From the front porch swing, you can sit and watch birds in the Magnolia tree, or stroll out to nearby restaurants and shops for antiquing. It’s a lovely, elegant, and very clean home, full of southern charm. The central Virginia location has a Mayberry-like feel. Absolutely charming Bed & Breakfast, and I’d highly recommend it.

That wraparound porch was a favorite. We got to sit out there with all our friends, share stories, and make lots of memories. We were in town for a wedding weekend, but I’d happily come back for a visit with no schedule at all. Jess was wonderful whenever we needed help or had a question, and we really enjoyed the breakfast food they provided. The kitchen was nicely equipped, and the beds and pillows were so comfortable. The Grays Swain Inn Bed and Breakfast was beautiful and very clean, in a little town that reminded me of one of those Hallmark movie towns. Thanks, Swans Inn, for such a great stay! ❤️🦢

We spent hours out on the front porch with our friends, so a few more seats there would be my one suggestion. Jess was great and made sure we had what we needed, and getting in touch with her was easy. I also loved being able to help ourselves in the kitchen. My husband and I came with friends, and we all fell for the Grey Swan Inn. Now we’re already trying to figure out when we can return. If you’re going to Blackstone, I’d consider staying here. You won’t be disappointed.

Our latest room had windows on three sides, so it was really bright, and it was just the right size. There was a small fridge, a nice bathroom, and a comfy bed with good pillows. Parking was easy, too. We had a wonderful stay at The Grey Swan, with a nice breakfast and a kitchen where you can make your own meals if that’s what you prefer.
