Lakefront Poconos Cabin w/ Deck & Game Room

The house was warm, modern, and still had that cottage feel. The master bedroom was quiet and comfortable, and the place worked really well for a family Christmas getaway. We’re planning to come back in summer to get out on the lake and kayak. My girlfriend would probably just say it was beautiful and that the family loved it, and she’d be happy to return in spring or summer to enjoy a different season. I notice more little things, though. Potato Potaato. The lake was frozen solid, and with the snow and wind we didn’t use the fire pit. Inside was mostly clean, and the counter surfaces were sanitized. I did spot some spiderwebs in places that are easy to miss, plus a mosquito on the bathroom wall. Outside, my child found several bottles of Strawberry Japanese based liquor on the deck and brought them to me. That made me wonder if the cleaning crew had overlooked the outside. It seems like they may have to move quickly between rental groups, so quality checks would help. My one other issue was the only TV. It didn’t have the sound bar and woofer indicated, so movie nights were fun but didn’t feel as immersive as they do at home with our sound system. My girlfriend didn’t ask for an adjustment. I’m a guy looking after kids and a woman, and I tend to notice things they might not. All in all, the stay was almost perfect. It was Christmas and frozen, lol.
