Island Manor Resort

We came in March, my favorite time of year, when the island is quiet and peaceful. Only a couple of bars and restaurants were open, and we had the beach to ourselves. The place has old-fashioned island charm, great service, and a terrific location in town, one block from the shops, restaurants, and bars, and a 10-15 minute walk to the beach. It's rustic, so don't come expecting room service or a concierge. The manager Desiree is awesome.

Island Manor Resort was a comfortable, clean, and convenient base for our first visit to Block Island. We came in November, during the off season and the pandemic, so most shops and restaurants were closed. I can't say what it's like in summer, and we had nothing to compare it with, but the location seemed great, with plenty of places within easy walking distance. Don't expect anything fancy. Management clearly takes good care of the property, and the managers were friendly and helpful. Recommended.

Desiree was so sweet and accommodating when my husband and I ended up staying for a few nights after the ferries were shut down over the weekend and into the start of the week. It's a great location, just a few minutes' walk from most breakfast spots, restaurants, the grocery store, and the ferry.

I stayed here over 15 years ago, and the difference is like night and day. The managers, who have run the property for the past five years, have upgraded the furniture and amenities. Our double unit was very clean, and the bedding was comfortable. They've redone the outdoor property too. We had a wonderful trip and are coming back in October. I can't say enough about the place, and highly recommend the resort.
