A nor'easter hit on our October 2025 wedding day, but the staff helped us move everything inside and still create a beautiful ceremony and reception. They even turned the dining room into a dance floor after dinner. Ashleigh, Dave, Emily, chef Fran, and the rest of the Atlantic crew made the day feel cozy and intimate. The food was a hit with our guests, who told us it was the best wedding meal they’d had. The apps were delicious, the steaks cooked perfectly, and each lobster was hot and fresh. The Atlantic Inn changed hands a couple years back, and the renovations are stunning. We had our wedding there and the team worked incredibly hard to make the space work. Weather also kept us on the island after the wedding. Although the Inn was due to close the next day, they stayed open two extra nights so our guests could wait for the ferries to resume. Excellent service and a beautiful wedding venue in any weather. We can’t wait to visit every year.

The Inn’s charm was a lovely bonus, and breakfast in the lounge was delicious. My Mom and I stayed here while visiting the outer banks for a pelagic birding tour, and the launch area was so handy. Our room had a private outdoor deck, which made it easy for me to take a beachside walk at sunset. We’ll be sure to book here again when we return to the outer banks.

We spent a long weekend in Block Island and loved relaxing in the Atlantic Inn’s lobby with coffee in the morning or a drink in the evening. The outdoor Adirondack chairs were a perfect place to sit on a lovely afternoon. Rather than deal with the busy town center, we biked around the island and relaxed at the Inn. Dinner was casual and delicious. The room was beautiful, with a comfortable bed, lovely view, space for my teen girls on the pull-out, and a gorgeous remodeled bathroom. From arrival on, the service was friendly and impeccable. The front desk staff were always ready to help, and they made it easy for our family to settle in. The people at Atlantic and Rose Farm Inn are the best. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Thanks for a lovely weekend.

We went to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and booked the island view room. It looked nothing like the online photos. I guess there are similar rooms and we got one that wasn’t shown on the website. The room was also extremely small, with hardly anywhere to put luggage. We don’t usually mind a small room on vacation, but at over $400 a night, I expected more. I knew there was no TV when I booked, and that was fine. The views were great, and dinner at the restaurant was very good. Still, for that price I expected flawless service, amenities, or at least some extra perks, and there was nothing. There was no breakfast either. Even a Best Western gives you breakfast. The place is fine as a two-star hotel, but what we paid didn’t match the service we got. An incoming storm canceled ferries for the next two days, so we decided to take the last available ferry back to the mainland rather than risk having to pay for two more nights. I asked whether they could offer any discount since we’d leave one night early, and they said no. I understand that the room was booked and they couldn’t resell it, and the storm wasn’t their fault. We were still a little perturbed that they offered nothing and seemed to have no sympathy for our situation. We love Block Island, but won’t stay here again.

We didn’t stay at the hotel, just ate at its restaurant, and we’ll be back next time we’re on Block Island. We started with cocktails on the front lawn, enjoying spectacular views, then were seated right on time on the covered patio. The appetizers we shared, including bread, olives, salad, octopus, and whipped ricotta, were all excellent. The big eye tuna on soba noodles was the standout, simply amazing. The steak was good too. They have a solid wine selection with plenty of variety and price points. We took a taxi there and walked back.
