Radisson Hotel Detroit-Bloomfield Hills

This was probably the loudest hotel I’ve stayed in, despite the online claim that the rooms are soundproof. Music outside, highway noise, and a woman talking loudly kept us up until 3am. We were told they couldn’t move us because the hotel was booked, which I understand, but given that I was there for extensive surgery, I expected some other accommodation. The lobby looks luxurious, but the rooms are basic, like any other Hampton. Before we’d even checked out, room service went in and threw away our drinks and food while my husband was coming back for them. Nobody even asked how the stay was at checkout. I’d booked a nicer place and driven farther for a reason. If you need quiet or luxury, save your money and go somewhere else.

Conner at the front desk made sure we were happy with our room and was so sweet and helpful. My daughter and I booked on a whim, and I’m really glad we did. The pool and hot tub are salt water, and dinner at the deli was delicious. Michael was a delightful, attentive, professional server, and his dessert suggestions were great. Try the Oreo Chessecake! We’ll definitely be back for another staycation soon.

We picked this nice, clean hotel for our first quick overnight in the area, to visit family. The staff were friendly, and check-in and checkout were easy. The pool and hot tub being closed was disappointing, since that amenity was why we chose the place. They could offer complimentary points or something when that happens. Otherwise, everything was good.

The staff were all awesome, and I liked the pool, restaurant, and exercise room. My room was near the lobby, though, and for all three nights I could hear loud talking and shouting from the bar and lobby echoing in well past midnight, even on Wednesday. The AC had no option to keep its fan running, so I couldn't try to drown out the noise. There were also a few stains on the floors and walls that put me off. I wanted to like this place, but the stay was disappointing.
