Hilton Garden Inn Bloomington

After a long weekend at a furry convention and a tiring drive in a Kia Soul, we stopped in Bloomington for a break. Nolan made us feel welcome right away and was very sweet, accommodating, and accepting of us as a swingers group. He suggested places around town where we could mingle and even offered us a bigger room in case we met anyone while we were out. 10/10, we'd recommend this spot to furries and swingers in the Bloomington area. Also, we hate Enterprise rental 🙄

The location is the hotel's strongest point: it's near IU and within walking distance of lots of shops and restaurants in Bloomington. The rooms, though, are small and very basic. Housekeeping didn't clean the bathroom well, and the sheets seemed too small for the beds, slipping off the mattresses. The pillows had no support, either. Maid service is every other day, which feels inadequate at this price, and the friendly staff weren't willing to do much beyond the basics. When the elevator to the seventh-floor garage was out, the response was basically a shrug, even though guests still had to pay for parking. That fee should at least have been waived for the inconvenience. At $700 a night, I expected much more. The accommodations and service don't justify it, and this feels like a $250-a-night hotel at best. If it weren't for that outrageous price, I might not have written this review. Corporate should visit and assess the facilities and service.

I travel around the U.S. a lot for production work, so I've stayed at plenty of hotels. This property is comfortable, with clean rooms and lots of food and entertainment options nearby. Memorial Stadium is less than a five-minute drive away. What really made the visit memorable was the service. SHYANNE at the front desk handled my needs and other guests' needs with care, compassion, and efficiency. She represents the Hilton standard, and I wish her the best in hospitality. Five stars, hands down.

Whenever I'm in town for a show at The Bluebird, this is my favorite Hilton. It's conveniently close to the venue, and the staff are always friendly. The garage setup is a little odd, since there's no direct entrance into the hotel.
