Quality Inn & Suites Bloomington

The room fridge was extremely loud, and there wasn't a battery in the smoke detector. The TV couldn't get the channels they advertised, and the reception was awful. The coffee was lousy too, though at least there was a Starbucks across the street. This place isn't worth $100 a night.

This two-star hotel gets a two-letter verdict from me: N-O. Avoid it if you can, though it'll do if there are no other options. If I'd been traveling alone, I would've looked for a safe parking lot and slept in my vehicle. The place is antiquated and hasn't been updated. The carpets were dirty, and the rooms stank so badly that we bought incense just to get through the stay. It felt like a family business focused on itself instead of its customers. Know better, do better!

Room 319 seemed clean when we arrived at 9pm, but a closer look showed the floor hadn't been vacuumed in a while and there was a broken, used crack pipe in a dresser drawer. We refused that room. The next one wasn't any better: a very dirty floor, hair in the sink and bathtub, and stained towels. They offered another room in the same condition, then wanted to charge us more to stay in it. We had to move my family to another hotel where we could get a clean standard room. This was a four day, three night stay, but the hotel refused to refund any money and charged the full reservation despite not providing a clean room. It was a huge inconvenience, especially since we were there for a family event. The other hotel was amazing, and that's where I'll go in the future. I work in hospitality and used to send people to quality, but now I'll send them somewhere else. Not all the pictures and video downloaded, but you'll see how disgusting this hotel is. I will never recommend it.

There was no laundry, and breakfast was very lacking compared with other hotels of the exact same kind. In the room, a big gap under the door let bugs in, and there was an odor. The shower had mold, and the bathroom door had been poorly repaired. The AC kept blowing the curtains, so outside light made it hard to sleep.
