Staybridge Suites Minneapolis-Bloomington by IHG

The free laundry was a nice perk, and the breakfast had a pretty good selection, though the serving area felt crowded. The gym is small and shares space with the laundry room, but it has plenty of free weights, a couple of treadmills and ellipticals, an incline bench, medicine balls, and other equipment. The outdoor area was under construction throughout our stay, so some amenities weren’t as available as I’d hoped. Still, it was a decent stay with no major problems.

The pool area is very clean, and the hot tub is actually hot. Breakfast is excellent, and the staff are friendly and know what they’re doing. The suites are arranged nicely and feel accommodating, especially for the price. This hotel is consistently a great experience.

The room was quiet and comfortable, and I enjoyed having a range of amenities. There’s also a handy backstreet that leads to Dennys for real eggs and to Olive Garden. The pool and patio were great, and I liked the free breakfast and the idea of social night. I’d choose this hotel again if I came back to Minneapolis, though I’d rate the stay 8/10. My room looked clean, but there was a rotten food smell every time I walked in. We couldn’t find what was causing it, and I could tell the cleaning staff had done a good job otherwise. The eggs at breakfast were awful both times I tried them, on two different days, and didn’t taste right. Maybe they could spend a little more on real eggs instead of powdered ones. Prices in the snack room also seemed too high. I was bothered that there were no cameras around the parking lot. If someone broke into your car, you might not know who did it or have proof for insurance.

The holiday decorations looked fantastic, and the rooms were cozy. Breakfast was wonderful, and they welcome furry friends too. A great place to stay for all kinds of guests.
