Comfort Suites Bloomsburg Area

We’ll likely stay here again next time we’re in the area. It’s handy for Route 80 and close to lots of stores and restaurants, and we appreciated getting a first-floor room. The hotel was a pleasant surprise: modern, spacious, clean, and quiet. I also liked that the sink was inside the bathroom, with great lighting. There’s an indoor pool, a fitness room, and a small arcade.

Breakfast each morning was a nice perk, and the staff were friendly and professional. We had no issues during our three-night stay. The hotel and room were clean and neat, with comfortable, modern furnishings in the welcoming lobby and rooms. Bloomsburg is about a five-minute drive away, and there are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. I’d stay here again on another trip.

The manager and staff spoke to us in an accusatory, dismissive, and insulting way, and nobody apologized or admitted they might be mistaken. We stayed for one night over Thanksgiving break, and after checkout the manager accused us of taking three pillows from the two rooms we booked for our family of six. The hotel charged us $63 even though we repeatedly said we hadn’t taken anything. It was offensive and humiliating. There was no proof or verification before management made this serious accusation. They blamed us instead of checking housekeeping procedures, inventory records, or the possibility of an internal mistake. Accusing guests of theft without evidence shows poor judgment and a lack of respect. That experience erased any good parts of the stay. Guests shouldn’t leave feeling harassed and treated like criminals over something they didn’t do. We won’t return, and we’ll actively discourage others from staying here. If the hotel handles internal errors by pointing fingers at guests, I can’t trust or recommend it. Management practices, staff training, and accountability need a complete overhaul before this place deserves the public’s trust or business.

The rooms were new and clean, and I thought the breakfast was great. I stopped here during a long trip and was impressed, especially since nearby hotels cost 50-90% more. Save your money and stay at Comfort Suites.
