We’ve been Choice members for more than 15 years, but this hotel is the reason we’re done. We asked to change our date or get a refund because something came up. The front desk clerk checked with the manager or owner, then told us the cutoff was 4pm and there was nothing they could do. I called at 4:17pm. I understand policies, but we’ve stayed there more than 10 times a year and have been loyal customers. They don’t seem to care about customers or service. The room is somewhat decent for the price, clean but plain. If you value your hard earned money, choose another place. The hotel across the street is similar and values its customers.

We were there for a conference, and the place was wonderful. Some of the people staying there said everyone was nice, and they had complimentary breakfast. The bathrooms were very clean, there was plenty of parking, and they had a nice outdoor pool. It was dog friendly too, since I saw some people with dogs. Everyone was friendly.

The breakfast was the highlight for me. It was typical hotel breakfast, and the waffle maker definitely got used that morning. The beds were tidy and the room smelled good. You get what you pay for, and that’s not a bad thing: the towel rack by the sink was broken, and the sliding bathroom door had no lock. The shower was spacious and steamy, with nice water. Taken together, that’s a 4* stay for me.

I had car trouble on my July drive home from Texas and had to stay the night here. The night shift woman and her husband were kind throughout my stay and helped me look for local mechanics. I’m sorry I forgot their names. I’d definitely make this a rest stop on my next trip.

The hotel was very clean and quiet, with a great breakfast and friendly staff. It’s right off the interstate, next to Cracker Barrel and a gas station.
