The Homestead Inn

Traveling with our two dogs was easy thanks to the adorable mini dog park, just about 20 feet from our cottage door. Our upgraded king room was spotless and thoughtfully stocked, and the staff were incredibly kind, responsive, and accommodating throughout. We had an amazing stay at Homestead Inn & Cottages and would gladly return. Highly recommend it for a Blowing Rock, NC visit. I wish I could give it 100!

The location was perfect for walking around town, and the room was clean and comfortable. Check-in was quick and easy, and the clerk was friendly and helpful. He told us the office opened at 8 a.m. and coffee would be ready for the next leg of our journey, but at 8:15 the next morning it still wasn’t. We also had to ask twice for extra towels. Homestead feels like a distinctive place from a slower, more personal time. I’d recommend staying here.

We loved staying here as a family with two little ones, ages five and two. The inn felt cozy and homey, and the kids had fun watching the fish in the small ponds. We even used the gazebo for a picnic. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the rooms had what we needed, and the location was great. We could walk to breakfast and dinner spots and to the park, even with our two-year-old walking the whole way. We’re already planning a return visit.

My daughter and I needed a place for one night in Blowing Rock, North Carolina, and found this cute little inn. The rooms were clean, and we could walk to the shops and restaurants. It has a rustic feel, and the man at the front desk was very nice. Having real keys for the rooms instead of swipe cards felt like a fun throwback to simpler times.
