Extended Stay by Welcome INN

Jesse made the stay easier. He was welcoming and easy to talk to, and showed us where to find the 24-hour help line. He also explained that calls ring through to him or another employee, whatever the time, and told us to reach out if we needed anything. The motel isn’t fancy, but it did what we needed.

I paid $345.06 through Walmart Travel for July 15-21, 2025, at Extended Stay by Welcome Inn in Blue Springs, Missouri. I left right away and had to pay to stay somewhere else, losing hundreds of dollars. The room was filthy, with visible mold and dirt, and felt unsafe to occupy. I documented the conditions in photos and videos. When I calmly asked the hotel for a refund because I couldn’t stay there for health reasons, staff were rude and refused. Walmart Travel returned just 15%, nowhere near what I’d paid. I want other travelers to know what they may encounter. The conditions seemed dangerous, and the staff wouldn’t make things right. I strongly caution against booking here.

For somewhere this cheap, it’s damn good. Clean and fairly quiet, which is what I need right now while I try to get my life together. It’s nothing fancy or special, but I couldn’t ask for a better place to rest my head.

I’ve been here much longer than I expected, and the community is great. I’ve got a lot of my own things and some small furniture here, and I never see bugs. My 85 lb Pit and I have had no issues, even though I’m having trouble renting a place. I’m no princess, and this feels like a normal place for a normal person. The employees are great and will work with you when there’s a problem, especially if you’ve built a relationship here. It can get a little loud at night now and then, but call the motel line and they take care of it right away. There’s no pool, but I like it far better than the Surestay, which I don’t recommend, or the Days inn, which wouldn’t let me stay long term with my service dog. It isn’t fancy, but it suits me.
