I stayed here for a couple of months because I had to. Over nine weeks, the promised weekly room cleaning never happened, and I ended up cleaning more than the staff. My key barely worked, so I kept having to get it reset at the office. I worked down the street and got off at midnight, but sometimes the staff were on lunch until 1. A few times someone used a screwdriver or similar tool to open my door. I had to worry about my things while I was at work. I saw two cockroaches. Police were there daily or every other day. Staff were okay, especially "T" Theresa and Gina, "Geena" maybe, I'm not sure. My main issue was the property manager Megan. From what I've read, this seems to be a pattern with her. We had limited contact, mostly when I paid weekly. The sink stopped working, and she said she'd order the parts, which seemed fine. Two weeks later, when I asked again while paying rent, she rudely told me to move to another room and that I couldn't stay there anymore. I don't mind questions about my sink being fixed, and I don't understand treating someone like that when they've been nice and respectful. Maybe she dislikes the job or is burned out, but that doesn't explain it.

They allow pets, and the main office has donated clothes and food. I noticed pest control dates written on a whiteboard, and they offer a weekly room visit to clean and replace dirty linens. During our week and a day here, the rooms seemed clean and free of pests, and people appeared to follow the rules. I'd give the Welcome Inn four stars. If you're keeping to yourself and just need an affordable place to sleep, I think you'll be fine.

A couple of years ago, after a bad divorce left me with nothing, I came here feeling apprehensive. I had a terrible black eye and was embarrassed to go out, so I was mostly hiding. The room was clean, I didn't see bugs, and they did spray while I was there. Nights were quieter than at the first place I'd tried down the street. The man who seemed to be in charge, Mike, I think, was compassionate. He seemed to get the men around there to watch out for me. He noticed my face and made sure I knew I would be safe. He even wanted to see a picture of my husband. He kept his word, and I didn't have to worry about anyone hanging around. I would have stayed longer if I could. Thanks, y'all. I got back on my feet, minus the jerk. Thanks!

I heard a mouse in our trash and put the bag outside while I got ready to take it to the dumpster. It was out there for no more than 10 minutes. Megan had come by the week before with an attitude when pest control visited, yes, pest control. This place is a trash pit, so I gave her attitude back. Then she wanted a $50 fee because the trash was outside briefly. We refused, and now she is trying to evict us. It's been about three weeks since she supposedly spoke with the Welcome Inn attorney and dropped off my papers. The wild part is it took her only five minutes to type up a fake letter. I wouldn't recommend this place. It feels like a spot for people society doesn't want. I put a down payment on a property and already have the keys. I also spoke to city code, and they told me the property was already in violation and had one month to make progress on repairs. I wouldn't be surprised if it shuts down soon. The other desk lady is very nice, which is the only reason I gave service two stars.

The housekeeper is so nice, and that's the only good thing I can say. I had no TV, just two uncomfortable pillows and two blankets that barely kept me warm. The Wi-Fi sucks, and the toilet is so slow it takes three or four flushes. New people in the room next door were always loud. When I first moved in, a worker looked through my window and lied to maintenance about me doing something. Maintenance threatened me. I had no curtains until she finally installed one, and it looked like a shower curtain while everyone else got better ones. I left last night. This is a case of getting what you paid for.
