Holiday Inn Express Bluffton at Hilton Head Area by IHG

We arrived Friday night to a pleasant welcome and an upgrade, which was nice. The room was spacious and very nice, and we had a great stay with little to complain about. We prefer the top floor away from elevators, though, and the upgrade didn't fit that preference. The front desk tried hard to find us a room we liked, but none were available. The bathtub faucet was quite loose, though it still worked. The stairwell door slammed every time someone went in or out. Adjusting the hinge might quiet it down.

We stayed one night on Dec 29 and had a great time. The room was clean and had what we needed, with good hot water, a shower shelf for soap and shampoo, good AC and heat, soft and firm pillows, and nice products including Dove, Angel soft TP, and Real Kleenex tissues. Parking and breakfast were free; breakfast was decent and good, and there was free coffee, tea, cookies, and popcorn. Great location, nothing bad to say, and I'd stay again. All the staff were great. Sherri at the front desk and another pleasant woman whose name started with Tob, though I can't remember it, were especially nice, as were the breakfast staff.

We've stayed at Holiday Inn at least four times, and it's been a comfortable, reliable choice. The front desk staff have always been friendly and breakfast is good. Pricing is usually fair, though it can be a little higher depending on the season, and they work with you if you're a member. The location is convenient, with plenty of food nearby, a Target close at hand, and a pizza place just around the corner with great salad and wings. Highly recommend.

The room was clean, but it smelled like urine. The location was very convenient for getting into town and finding things to do. The customer service was so bad that I'll never stay at another Holiday Inn, and the front desk staff need training in how to treat customers.
