The omelette station was good, but my wife spent 30 minutes waiting in line while I enjoyed my freshly made omelette. There was also a lot of highway noise on the balcony on my side of the building. The pool and hot tub were nice, but we couldn’t find towels there. After we asked at the desk, a staff member brought five about half an hour later and blamed the laundry. The business center had two computers, though only one could get online, and someone was using it to write emails. Construction was going on during our stay. They said the notice was on the website, but the warning was buried several clicks into the fine print on Priceline, where I’d found a better rate. We came back to the hotel for our baby’s nap, and the noise and dust were unpleasant. There was also a mix-up at check-in: my daughter and her family were sent to a room that was already occupied. Luckily, nobody was in it, though their belongings were. When I raised all these problems with the senior staff member, she said a partial refund would have been possible, but not because I’d booked through a third party. She was pleasant and said she’d tell the manager, with the implication that someone might call me. Thanks for nothing. I liked the hotel, but after four nights and two rooms, there were too many issues for me to give it a good review. I hope they fix them.

The room was spotless and remarkably quiet, and we slept right through on the peaceful street. Breakfast was fresh and satisfying, and the price felt like a rare deal for this much comfort and service. Check-in took no time and went smoothly. The staff were genuinely kind while still being polished and professional. I’d happily stay here again.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the fresh omelette station at breakfast was a real highlight. There are some good features inside and around the grounds, and the photos make the property look updated and beautiful, with impressive views. In person, though, the exterior was less appealing and didn’t have the same polished look. Noise was the biggest problem. Construction began at 8 every morning, loud enough to make sleeping in difficult. It sounded like an orca vocalizing. The pool sounds also echoed through the rooms well into the evening, and the noise carried at night too. There are nice parts to the hotel if the sound and exterior don’t put you off, but keep the noise in mind before booking.

The location is convenient, with plenty of restaurants nearby, but the front desk service was minimal. Staff didn’t greet guests or acknowledge my diamond status. The hotel was in the middle of major renovations, with dust all over the place. They need to do a better job containing it. Even the smoke alarms went off. The room itself was okay, which may be why they were renovating.
