Hilton Garden Inn Boca Raton

We spent more than two and a half months at The Hilton Garden Inn On Congress Ave, and it really felt like a home away from home. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we slept as well as we do at home. Our room and bathroom were spacious, and the internet worked well the whole time. Manager Gee was always available and helpful. He and the rest of the team consistently did what they could to make us comfortable, including housekeeping visits whenever needed, an extra refrigerator, and extra towels each day for our special and dietary needs. They even let us set up the room with things we brought from home. We felt welcome and relaxed throughout our stay, and we both highly recommend the hotel and staff.

Everything was well cared for and very clean. The location worked well for reaching nearby towns, and the hotel is right off 95. Kyle at the front desk was especially accommodating, knowledgeable, and polite, as was the whole staff. Housekeeping was prompt and thorough. I was very pleased with how well the property is managed.

The hotel first offered us a choice between moving rooms and getting a full refund. We chose the refund, but later the property refused to authorize it. Hotels.com denied it because the hotel wouldn’t approve it. On another call, an employee said the refund had been rejected because the manager wasn’t there at the time and that we should call back during weekday hours. They changed their position after we’d accepted the refund, and after four calls the matter still isn’t resolved. We discovered the problem as soon as we opened the door: the room was overwhelmed by a strong mold smell and clearly wasn’t suitable to stay in. Staff made us bring all our luggage back downstairs and fully vacate the room before discussing options, which we did. This was a health concern, not a matter of preference. Mold is unacceptable, and the way this was handled was misleading and unprofessional. The poor maintenance, evasive management, and lack of accountability are embarrassing for a property carrying the Hilton name. Avoid this hotel.

We waited 90 minutes for breakfast, which was the worst part. The hotel wouldn’t refund the extra amount we paid for the expensive room rate despite that service. Never again. The rooms and carpets are outdated and smell bad, and the lighting is ugly, with harsh LED glare. There were no smart TVs, and it’s 2026. Some electrical outlets didn’t work, and the ones that did were missing their covers. Conrad Hilton must be turning in his grave.
