Bodega Bay Inn

We had a lovely second-floor room with our own balcony, a plush bed, and really nice decor. The shared guest lounge has a Keurig, tea, a refrigerator, and tables and seating for having drinks or just spending time. Pete welcomed us when we arrived and was wonderful. He even gave us a bottle of sparkling wine, though he didn’t know it was our anniversary trip. We were here for one night at the end of April, as we traveled south on Highway 1. It was our first time at the Bodega Bay Inn and in Bodega Bay, and we’ll definitely return. Thanks!

It was nice to stay at a family-run place, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The location worked well for exploring Bodega Bay and Jenner, and we didn’t hear traffic from HW1. I knew ahead of time that the room was on the small side. It could use some updating, but it was fine, and I was glad to find a pet-friendly room just a few days before the weekend. I’m guessing the rooms that don’t allow pets may be bigger. I’d happily come back.

We felt settled and peaceful the moment we walked in. The bed was SO comfortable, and there was a sweet origami swan on a pillow with chocolates. Ted, the manager and owner, was friendly and helpful, and his family has given the inn a lovely, distinctly family-like feel. Our Bay View room is in a house tucked among the trees, with a lovely view of the bay. We especially liked the deck just outside and the hot tub a few steps below it. We’re glad we found this place and will definitely return.

The rooms are a little dated, but they were clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff were so attentive that we felt right at home. We also got to chat with other travelers, and the local recommendations were really good.
