Comfort Suites Airport

We got to the hotel at 1am after a harrowing night drive through Deadman’s Pass in snowfall. We had to push through, since turning around would've been worse. They thought we weren't coming because I'd forgotten about the time change and we arrived two hours later than expected, but it was no problem. The clerk welcomed us warmly and said he was glad we'd made it safely. It was 28 and we'd just come through a blizzard, so the welcome felt warm in every sense. The room was very clean and organized. The fluffy white bedding had four pillows on each queen bed. The bathroom was sparkling, with plenty of clean towels and washcloths and hand towels. The fairly large flat screen TV was typical of a 3 star hotel/motel. We were too tired to make it down to breakfast, though it smelled delicious and looked clean and well appointed. The ceiling was peeling a bit above the tub, and the tub didn't drain well during showers, leaving ankle-deep water. Those were the two maintenance issues worth mentioning. The service was cordial and accommodating. It's close to the airport and freeway, but about 1-1.5 miles away, so we didn't hear noise. Prices are reasonable, and I'd definitely stay again. The gentleman who checked us in was nice, but the first room smelled of smoke, and the carpet had what looked like pop stains. The beds were uncomfortable, the TV didn't work, and when we called, nobody came to help. The elevator area was gross and needed painting, with dirt and grime everywhere. So freaking disappointing. I wish you could trust the chain name.

It was fine for the price otherwise. We chose the place because it had a pool and hot tub, but nobody told us there was a code to get into the pool room. We went back to the desk, got in, and found the hot tub wasn't working. Would've been nice to know before we got dressed and went down.

The couch in our room looked kind of gross, but otherwise we thought the place was clean and would recommend it. We stayed two nights and would come back. It was easy to find, a good price, and conveniently located for everything we needed. The staff were nice, and the pillows were really comfy. We didn't have breakfast, so I can't comment on it.
