Hyatt Place Boise/Downtown

We spent four nights here and found the hotel clean and well maintained. Every staff member we met was kind and helpful. We didn’t get around to using the pool, but went to the gym each day. The water fountains in the hall were a nice convenience, as were the TV lounges. It’s downtown, with plenty of parking. I’d recommend it.

This Hyatt is where my family and I usually stay when I drive to Boise from my hometown, a few hours away, for work or just for fun. The rooms are spotless, comfortable, and nicely designed. There’s plenty of parking, the lobby is nice, and breakfast is decent. The in-room coffee is the one glaring problem, at least for me. It’s impressively bad. I’m pretty sure I’ve had better coffee in Federal prison. You’re better off crossing the intersection to Broadcast Cafè. Otherwise, this is a reliably comfortable hotel.

The breakfast was good, but I don’t have much else positive to say. We swam Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, yet the dirty towel bin stayed full and there were hardly any clean swim towels. I had to ask for some on Saturday night, and by Sunday morning the bin was still full with no clean towels available. There were only four bath towels for our family of five, so we asked for another the first night. The next evening we requested three more because there weren’t enough places to hang five towels. They brought up three, then told us we couldn’t have any more. I’ve never had a hotel refuse more clean bath towels. I’d find another place to stay.

We stay here whenever we come to Boise and have never been disappointed. The rooms are spacious, the hotel is clean, and the staff are consistently kind and helpful. There are lots of great downtown spots within walking distance, and we’ll definitely come back.
