Hampton Inn & Suites Bolingbrook

We spent 18 days here and felt at home throughout. The hotel was quiet even though it's so close to I55, and the location was really convenient. Our rooms stayed clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. I also had no trouble staying with my two dogs, which I appreciated. I'd highly recommend it.

The staff were friendly and breakfast was good, but the rooms felt run down because of unrepaired wall dings and peeling paint. We booked two rooms through the Hilton app with adjoining rooms confirmed, but didn't get adjoining rooms. That may have been an issue with the app rather than the hotel. We stayed two nights, and although I was told housekeeping was available on request, my request was refused because they were “at capacity.” Don't offer a service you can't provide. I suspect they might have found room if we'd booked two separate one-night stays. Two buses were also parked close to the side entrance, taking up more than a dozen convenient spaces. That was frustrating with a heavy rainstorm on our first day and snow on the second, and I'm not sure why the buses got priority.

I've stayed at Hampton Inn, Bolingbrook, Illinois several times without a problem, but the latest visits felt unfair and at times discriminatory. About two weeks before my current stay, the same employee challenged my pets and said nothing about them was on my reservation. I'd clearly listed my two service animals on the Hilton website, and I don't use third-party sites. He also insisted pets weren't allowed on the third floor, even after I explained this was a disability room and service animals must be allowed. Other guests on that floor had dogs. Today, while we were outside, the same employee questioned my daughter about our room and pointed to our pet bags. He had seen us and our animals during several previous stays, so the interaction felt intrusive and like we were being singled out. Before this reservation, he also tried to charge my card at noon, three hours before the scheduled 3 pm check-in, which caused unnecessary stress and meant I had to go to the front desk. These repeated interactions made it seem like this employee applied the rules inconsistently and treated us differently. People paying for a stay, especially those with service animals, deserve fair, consistent treatment and shouldn't be questioned unnecessarily or singled out based on someone's assumptions.

A quiet, very comfortable night on a long road trip. The clean room felt newly renovated, the service was professional, and I slept well. The location is excellent, right off I-80.
