I've got a lot more to say, but this was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I checked in on February 5th and got a cold welcome from the woman working the desk that night. I know it was late and she may have been tired, but her service was awful. I work in customer service at a hotel too, and she needs to fix her attitude. The suite had dirty sheets with marks that looked almost like blood, and staff didn't know how to operate the room's jacuzzi when I asked for help. While trying to figure it out, the rude desk worker splashed water all over my face, walked away without acknowledging or apologizing, and rolled her eyes at me as if I were the problem. I was only asking for help and felt treated like an inconvenience. The only competent person at the front desk seemed to be a very sweet woman with curly hair. They've held my deposit for over 30 days after my February 5 check-in, and now say it won't be released until March 9, even though they told me it would take at most nine business days. The manager apparently shows up whenever they want, and you can't even book a meeting with them. Extremely unprofessional. I need answers.

The room, hotel, and workers were good, and it was quiet. My room, 109, was clean, and the location worked well. But the $100 security deposit made the stay much more stressful. I got in around 11:15 p.m. on 2/11 after a long trip from out of state. I'd booked through Priceline for $92 without any trouble. The friendly front desk worker initially thought I needed a room and quoted $175, then explained the $100 refundable deposit. There's a sign about it, so I guess people ask about it often. We asked to pay cash, but she said they couldn't take cash at night and required a card. I've never seen a deposit that high. I understand there may be a reason for it, but it can take 3-15 days to get the money back, which is hard when you weren't expecting it. At that late hour, needing a room left me with no choice. It turned my $92 stay into $192 right away, and on the day I left I was still anxious waiting for the refund. Breakfast was just okay too: only the orange juice worked, and waffles were the only hot food.

I tried to make the best of it, but I had to leave when I found a towel with what looked like old blood stains. The rooms were full of pests, including roaches, spiders, and others I couldn't identify, and the staff did nothing to help. It felt like they were doing me a favor by letting me stay. Breakfast was awful too, with a chest of old, stale cakes and watered-down coffee. This place felt like a homeless shelter, an absolute dump. If you don't believe it, stay and see for yourself.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and gave me extra towels when I asked. That's better than most hotels and motels around here, where they give you a hard time about more towels. The rooms were very clean and smelled nice, though the shower pressure in the king handicap room could be stronger. Breakfast was mediocre, with waffles as the only hot item. I didn't get to use the pool. Its 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. hours aren't great, since most indoor pools nearby run from 6-7 a.m. until 10-11 p.m. It looked nice, though.

I chose this hotel for a family visit because it was close to where they live. Next time I'll stay elsewhere. It's showing its age and needs maintenance: the dresser was broken, the room was too dark at night even with the lights on, and the elevator was extremely slow. Breakfast was a joke, with no eggs, bacon, milk, or fruit, just juice, waffles, and junk food.
