Bonifay Inn

The location made things easy, with a convenience store next door and McDonald's, pizza, and Mexican places nearby in this little town. The room did what I needed, though it was no palace and not the worst place I've stayed either. I had booked and paid in advance, but weather delayed my arrival. Towels were there and replaced when I asked. The room worked, but there was a bit of mold, the floor needed vacuuming, and the bathroom tile could've been cleaned better. The toilet paper holder was broken and locked, and it stuck out over the seat. I saw a roach on the porch going in, but thankfully none inside the room. I bring my own spray anyway. There was also a big gap at the door, letting air in and possibly bugs.

We've been here almost three weeks because we're local and our well ran dry. The owners are so friendly and keep checking that we've got what we need. Our room stays clean and quiet, and the shower water gets really hot.

Room 129 was filthy. When I opened the door, the rotten smell was so bad I couldn't make myself go in. I had to run to Walmart for bleach and cleaning supplies, then clean the pillows and the rest of the room. After all that, we got up to use the microwave and found a box of Popeyes chicken in a dollar general bag, left inside from who knows how many guests earlier. Opening the microwave released a hot, rotten smell. They clearly hadn't kept the room clean at all.

The beds were pretty comfy, like some kind of memory foam, and the AC was good. Room had a fridge, microwave, and modern flat-screen. It was clean and pest free, with easy access to the interstate and the main highway toward PCB.
