The pool was the biggest letdown. We’d planned a ski trip with the family and expected to use it afterward. It’s technically an indoor pool, but it isn’t heated, so we would have booked somewhere else if we’d known. In winter, they should make that clear upfront, heat it, or close it seasonally. An indoor pool you can’t use defeats the point. Check-in was smooth, the staff were helpful, our room was very clean, and the complimentary breakfast was excellent. The room and property did feel dated, though, and the front desk didn’t seem like a great place to get local tips, like nearby restaurants.

Our bed was comfortable, and that was about the only good thing. We stayed because we booked through my union perks and couldn’t get a refund. We won’t recommend this place or return. We booked three nights specifically because it had an indoor pool, and I even made sure the attendant confirmed there was one. But the pool was closed, and nobody called to let me know. That felt so unprofessional. There wasn’t any ice in the machine either. The pullout couch is very small, there are no rollaway beds, and the hotel sits on the outskirts of town with nothing nearby. When you book a family vacation, you want staff to be honest.

The staff were wonderful, especially Jamie at the front desk. She was so kind and professional, and really went out of her way to make things right. Management should invest in a deeper clean, because the hotel’s overall cleanliness needs work. The elevator was broken, so we had to use the stairs. Their carpet was stained and dirty, and the carpet in our room was filthy. Jamie accommodated us with a move, but the next room was only a little better. In the morning I noticed the shower walls weren’t clean either. The rooms didn’t meet what I expected from this hotel chain.

The staff were very nice and helpful, with no issues there. The room and booking were another story. We paid for a three-night suite, but the first room we were assigned already had someone in it. In the replacement, the bedroom fire alarm was going off. At the desk, we were then told there were no more rooms of the type we’d paid for, so we had to take a queen room without any refund. The carpets were heavily stained, and the bathroom walls had all kinds of mildew, mold, or stains along the edges.
