The rooms were filthy, the Wi-Fi didn’t work, there was a terrible musty smell, and the carpet had large burn holes. I even found blood on the bathroom mirror. The manager brushed it off as “probably just paint,” but it was blood, and that’s unacceptable by any cleanliness standard. I’d specifically asked about late checkout when I checked in, and an employee gave me the wrong information. Then the front desk called in a panic and woke me from a dead sleep, insisting I pay for another day. When I went down to sort it out, the manager chastised me because housekeeping had already left. I didn’t know when they left, which is exactly why I’d asked about the policy. Your employees dropped the ball, not me. Respectfully, this was the worst place I’ve ever stayed. I’d sooner sleep on the sidewalk than come back. Abhorrent.

The staff were very nice, but the room was in rough shape and the price wasn’t justified. There were stains on the sheets, across the mattress, and on every towel. The carpet felt sticky and wet, the room smelled of mildew with a hint of cigarettes, and the Wi-Fi didn’t work. We only booked in a pinch because it was graduation weekend, but I wouldn’t choose to spend money here again. The place needs a serious renovation.

Wi-Fi was out, the room smelled skanky, and the location felt sketchy. The prices were ridiculous. Total dump, definitely avoid at all costs. I don’t believe the positive ratings, which surely came from management or the owners. Worst lodging experience ever.

My cabin was in the woods, recently remodeled, clean, and organized, with a nice sweet smell of fresh cut wood and a large kitchenette. It had a jacuzzi, and the inline water heater meant unlimited hot water for showers and the tub. This is an old-school cabin with amenities, quiet and out in the country, just outside Boone with restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful. Expect that you may see insects, as we had one in the room. Still, it was a nice stay.

I needed somewhere for the night and was glad this hotel still had a room. It turned out to be cute, cozy, and quirky, perfect for me. It’s not the Hilton, but the staff member I met was kind and helpful, and I slept peacefully. I’m completely satisfied. Hotels around here are ridiculously overpriced, so I’d recommend this as a more affordable option. 👍😊
