TownePlace Suites Boone

After trying a lot of Boone hotels over the past few years, some that looked nice online but were pretty nasty, I’m happy to say this one’s the best in my opinion. It’s perfectly located for us, near the university and right across from electric charging stations. Our king room and bathroom were very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the small kitchenette was a nice extra even though we didn’t use it. The room did feel a little tight once the sofa bed was opened, but it was fine for one night. Breakfast was decent and handy before the graduation ceremony. Boone gets really touristy and lines can be long on graduation weekends, so the complimentary breakfast saved us a stop at a drive-through. I’d stay here again.

The friendly, accommodating staff made the stay especially enjoyable. Kay at the front desk was amazing and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. We loved having a full-size kitchen with a stovetop, and the grills and fire pit are available to guests around the clock. The front desk lends out all the grilling tools, so there’s no need to bring your own. The TownePlace Suites is centrally located, with quick access to Appalachian Ski Mountain, Sugar Mountain, and Beech Mountain, plus local state parks and scenic overlooks. Walmart, Publix, and good local restaurants are within a reasonable drive. For value and location in Boone, it’s a wonderful choice.

Chris, Lauren, and Zoe made our trip unforgettable with their warmth, professionalism, and knowledge of the area. They went above and beyond, and the support staff were always attentive and ready to help with a smile. The hotel was immaculate, welcoming, and carefully maintained, and we felt like family from the moment we arrived. As a single mom, I make a point of traveling with my two children each year so they can have experiences to carry into adulthood. We visit Boone annually and have stayed at several hotels, but this year at TownePlace Suites by Marriott Boone was so much better than any previous trip. My kids and I are grateful for the joy this stay brought us and for making our tradition more meaningful. We’ll be back every year.

The room was clean and comfortable, with excellent shower pressure and a mini kitchen. Staff were courteous and helpful, and we had an excellent stay. I’d absolutely come back. One note: only 12 rooms have bathtubs, so check with management before booking if having one matters to you, since it affects the room type.
