Boothbay Harbor Oceanside Inn

The inn was clean and comfortable, and the location was great. But all three nights, the coffee was lukewarm. For the price, breakfast should be included, or at least there should be a voucher for Mama D's.

We had a lovely time, with beautiful accommodations and pleasant staff.

Room 109 gave us amazing views over the harbor. It was fun to watch fishing boats come and go, and there were Adirondack chairs and small tables just outside the sliding glass door. The room had a fresh feel, was clean, and had crisp linens with no wear. No musty or smoky smells, either. We were happy with our choice and would stay again. The property felt peaceful and tranquil. There was no breakfast at the inn, but several local restaurants with nice breakfast options were a short walk away. The inn had a shared sitting area and a 24-hour setup with ice, juices, coffee, and tea, and sometimes bananas. There was also a fitness room, though we didn't use it. Our room came with a microwave and small fridge. The footbridge by the property made it an easy walk to the main part of town, and since parking there was tight, walking worked best. The lot at the inn had plenty of spaces, with a parking tag to put in the car. We stayed four nights and housekeeping never came. We didn't ask about it, since we could hang our towels to dry and the trash can was large enough. I'm sure they would have brought fresh towels if we'd asked.

The location is the only thing that would bring me back, and I won't be staying here on my next Boothbay trip. This may be the worst hotel room I've ever had. The bathroom looked like it was straight out of 1955, and one mattress felt decades old. Our supposed “harbor view” was a parking lot partly hidden by a hydrangea. Some rooms have a great view, others a limited one, and some have none.
