The location is good, and the shower was nice, but the place is very small, so you get what you pay for. I could easily hear the other tenants. There’s just one small bathroom trash can and it has no liner, so bring a bag. The host didn’t answer the questions I sent through the app, so I’d suggest texting him directly. He said the housemaid had cleaned, but the towels were damp and one had hair on it. There was an empty beer box on the floor and the sheets were half off the bed. The curtains are very sheer, so there’s little privacy when someone can see in from the door.

It was great to find an affordable place near such a quaint little town. The hotelier was helpful and really nice, and everything was very clean. The bed was comfortable, and the scenery had a calm, zen-like feel. It’s easy to spot off 29, and just a five-minute drive to the harbour.

We come back to the White Anchor every July while heading to one of the Islands, usually with the other couple who first recommended it to us. The rooms are spotless, the area is quiet, and there’s a small deck looking out over a pretty field. It’s also convenient for getting to Booth Bay’s downtown. The staff are lovely, and we plan to keep staying here.

The rooms are clean, and check-in and checkout were easy. I liked the ocean-themed decor and the price is excellent. There’s a small flat-screen TV and a nice little back porch with chairs. Downtown Boothbay is close by, with plenty to do. The shower sprays water all over, and a pair of blinds is missing from the back window, so a veil is being used for now to block the light. I’d stay here again when I’m in the area and would recommend it.

One of my neighbors stole vodka from the store right next door, and apparently he’s a pervert too. He deserves whatever’s coming to him. I’m always scared to walk past his room. He plays the TV so loudly you can hear it all the way downstairs. My mother had to put a camera in my room because of all the people knocking on the door. I don’t trust anyone here. Even with all that, this place is really nice. 5/5, would definitely recommend.
