Comfort Inn Bordentown near NJ Turnpike

My husband and I needed a place to sleep near a wedding on 11/15/25, since we don’t live in the area. We stayed in Room 103, WiFi 206, and I’ve never seen a place so filthy. Even motels have been cleaner. The sheets had hair, there was hair in the bathroom, and the towels all had stains. The bed had yellow stains, the pillows had dry blood spots, and the previous guest’s smell was still there. I found a small roach on the TV stand, a broken lock, a dirty refrigerator, no shampoo, and more than 10 handprints on the headboard. There was dust on the blue chair by the window and on the floor. We didn’t have chargers and our phones were dead, but I wish I’d been able to take pictures. The young girl who checked me in didn’t even greet me and made me feel like I was bothering her. I’m disgusted and disappointed. We’re on our way home, and I’ll be showering with bleach tonight. I’ll never give these people my money again. Did they even clean before we arrived?

I’m frugal, and for the price this is usually my first choice when I’m in the area. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was a bit dated but clean and fully usable. There were fresh towels, soap bars, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. I’ve run into cheap hotels and motels that were absolute garbage, but this wasn’t one of them. It was worth the money to me.

DO NOT BOOK HERE! BED BUGS! I checked in with my two small children while we waited for my husband. The area already felt a little unsafe, so my priority was getting the kids into the room and waiting for him. When he arrived, he checked the beds and found bed bug residue all over the mattress seams. There were holes in the closet doors and stains all over the sheets. Disgusting. We asked the front desk for a refund, but the woman said it wasn’t her problem and refused because we’d been there more than 15 minutes. We left without our money. They act like bed bugs aren’t their problem, but it’ll be a problem for the health department. Absolutely terrible.

I was about to get into bed when I noticed movement in the corner of my vision. It was a bed bug. When I shone a light on it, it played possum. I called the front desk up and showed them, and they moved me to another room. While checking that room, I found mold in the shower area. I couldn’t sleep the way I wanted because I kept thinking I’d get bitten. I’d never seen one in real life before, only in pictures or commercials.
