Hampton Inn Bordentown

I drive OTR and parked across from the hotel at the Love’s truck stop. I wanted to get off the truck and rest in a comfortable room, and this place exceeded what I expected. The front desk receptionists were friendly and helpful. I’d left my charger on the truck, and the night clerk let me borrow hers to charge my phone. Great customer service. I’ll stay again when I’m here for more than a day.

The room was warm and clean, and the staff were amazing while I was sheltering from the snowstorm. Sabrina at the front desk took good care of me during check-in. The roads still aren’t clear, but staff member Kyra was here and had plenty of good food ready for guests at breakfast. I’m definitely grateful to the staff.

We’d booked four nights, then our plans changed and we wanted to shorten it to two. The hotel wouldn’t make the change, saying it was a “price plan,” even though we were willing to pay according to the changed prices. They were not service minded at all, so we ended up canceling the entire stay. Avoid. Part 2: The hotel is trying to blame Expedia, but Expedia was helpful and spoke directly with the manager. The hotel still refused to change anything, so this had nothing to do with a third party. They just aren’t customer focused or service minded. Go somewhere else.

The hotel itself is very nice, but it’s on a busy corner across from two truck stops. There aren’t many nearby places for food or drinks apart from DoorDash, and that’s why I rated it lower.
