OYO Hotel Bossier City LA - Red River

The room they offered us had dead roaches and other bugs on the wall. Sewage odor from the bathroom was leaking into the room, and the curtains were torn, the paint was peeling, and there was only one towel. A wall switch had no faceplate, and the bed had just one sheet, no blanket. Outside, there was rubbish everywhere, including an overflowing bin full of diapers with flies around it. Staff weren't answering the phone or at the office. I wouldn't consider this place safe for you or your family. Please avoid it.

The location is great, and before it became Oyo, we stayed here and had a good experience. This trip was completely different. I asked for a ground-floor room because my mom couldn't manage stairs, but they said none were available. The first room had holes in the wall, a bed coming apart, trash on the floor, bugs, and an unclean sink and bathtub. We showed the photos downstairs, and they gave us a ground-floor room, but it wasn't much better. It was late and we were tired.

We left as soon as we saw the room. The front door looked like it could barely stay upright, and inside the side table held cigarette ends and baggies with unknown contents. There was liquor left in the mini fridge, which smelled terrible. Roaches were everywhere, with holes and stains in the bed and walls, plus mold in the bathroom. The smell when we walked in was unbelievable. It felt unsafe and unhealthy. The whole place should be condemned.

I went to the front desk for a refund after seeing the conditions, but staff did their best to avoid giving my money back. Priceline was no help either, whether with the refund or finding another place to stay. The walls were grimy and stained, with substances on them that made the lack of cleaning obvious. The lights flickered, and the corridors were so dim they felt unsettling. Roaches crawled on the floors and walls. The surrounding area felt completely unsafe to me, and I wouldn't go out alone after dark. This place left me feeling trapped and disgusted. Stay somewhere else.
