La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Bossier City

I read the reviews and stayed anyway, like an idiot. I stand by my other public reviews too. I asked for early check-in and late checkout. My early check-in was supposed to be free as a Wyndham Rewards member. I requested it for 1 p.m., but arrived at 2:30, and the person checking me in said I still had to wait until 3 or pay. He didn't seem to care when I pointed out the benefit. If I hadn't booked online, I'd have left. Late checkout was also free at my reward level. In the morning I went down to confirm, and the young woman at the desk barely spoke or understood English and had no clue, though she said it would be fine. Three minutes later she knocked on my door and said her manager wanted $25 extra for late checkout. I'm tired of people whose first language isn't English not being able to communicate and understand. Playing dumb and thinking you're smart won't work on everyone. The bathroom linens were folded neatly but covered in dirt. There were holes in the ceiling, the wall vent was nearly falling apart, and the microwave had something dirty left inside when I went to heat my food. I wouldn't recommend this place. The nicest part was seeing it in my rearview mirror. And Mr. Manager, I've seen your poor attempts to answer other bad reviews, so don't bother with mine. One small edit: give the young woman at the desk a raise. She was very kind, so the service star goes up a bit. She said her name was something like Cushy. I'm sure I spelled it wrong.

After a five hour drive for a sports trip, my team and I expected to rest. Instead we found stained sheets and blankets, loose headboards, and disgusting bathrooms. The bathroom in my room looked fine at first glance, but it was cramped and the tub was so stained I nearly refused to shower. Because of my sport, I get injuries and soreness and need ice baths. I couldn't bring myself to use it, worried I might catch something that night. Our room had just one towel even though employees had been told which rooms needed more. Thankfully my roommate brought towels. I can't say whether the other rooms got theirs. Breakfast was okay, but there wasn't much. The eggs didn't look appetizing, the milk jug had crusty old milk around the spout, and the apple juice seemed to have crumbs in it. I'm not picky, but I'd rather drink dirty, plastic-harboring pool water from outside. We also had outlets that didn't work and a lamp that was barely screwed onto its frame. I had to keep it in one exact position for it to turn on. A teammate in another room said her closet door was broken off its hinges and found marijuana on her floor. Last year's stay here was much better, though even then my teammate and I spent 30-45 minutes walking around to find a door that worked so we could get in and rest. I wouldn't recommend this "hotel" to anyone. Anyone with a brain would rather sleep in the middle of the road in the French Quarter of New Orleans.

My boyfriend and I aren't from here. We needed somewhere to sleep after our flight was canceled, but this was by far the worst hotel I've ever been to. The first room had no fridge, no TV remote, a dirty tub, and filth everywhere. We asked for another room, hoping it'd be better. It was worse: dead roaches and hair in the tub, the TV and remote didn't work, the bedding was dirty, and half the lamps were out. Someone had left old, rotten food in the microwave too. 🤢🤢🤮

I travel a lot for work, and this was the worst place I've seen. My room smelled awful, the comforter was stained, there were dead bugs, and the tub had black mold and cigarette burns. The TV wouldn't work, and the stains on the towels were disgusting. There were blood smears on the walls and AC cover. This place really should be reported to the health department. I'd paid for seven days, but after seeing the room I went straight downstairs to request a refund. They told me I would only get six days back.
