We had to go out and buy water for our grandchildren's formula after the water was shut off without anyone being told. The bathroom and room had ants, the carpet was filthy, and there were stains on the walls that should have been cleaned. Our grandkids' knees, hands, and feet were black. Breakfast was awful too. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The breakfast was a decent amount of food for the room price, with cereal, eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, fruit, breads, bagels, muffins, and donuts. The donuts and muffins were limited to one per person. The lady watching the breakfast area spent a lot of time on her phone and didn't say much. At checkout, there was no man at the desk. A customer even mistook my husband for maintenance and said he had a long list of repairs, which was strange. He explained we were guests. The atrium was beautifully decorated, and the entry was clean and welcoming. The two women at check-in were kind and professional, including the clerk who was still training. We felt safe here, unlike at the casino. The bar in the atrium stayed closed the whole time. I didn't notice much signage, though we arrived late when it was dark, and the place wasn't as well lit as some hotels. For under $100 on a Friday near the Bossier City casinos, the price was fair, but our room didn't live up to the atrium. The smoke detectors beeped, the carpet was old, the walls had damage painted over, and there were stains on the bathroom floor and dust on the plain trim. The wall mounted AC was extremely loud, with its return over the shower, and it never got cold enough. It was hard to sleep with that noise. Given how much work had gone into the atrium, I expected more of the rooms. If they renovated them to the same standard, this would be a perfect place to stay.

The beds were really comfortable, and breakfast in the atrium was lovely. That inside space looks like a wedding banquet venue. The rooms themselves aren't very attractive, though, and ours had a strong musty smell. There's no elevator, so you have to take the stairs. The rooms need remodeling; with updates, this could be an elegant, beautiful place to stay.

I stayed in one of the 8400 rooms and found it cozy and nice. The location is pretty decent, though some things could use an update. I had a good stay and would come back.

A reasonably priced, nice hotel with well-kept rooms. The shower could use some renovation. It brought to mind a nicer Days Inn.
