The room felt secure, with two door locks, and came with a tiny fridge, microwave, towels, bed linens, a TV, and WiFi. It was quite clean, though the rooms and bathroom could use some fresh paint. I shared a bathroom with four other rooms or units. Check-in and checkout were very easy, just a text message and a door pin. The location is great, within walking distance of the park and Back Bay station. There was no elevator in my building, so be ready to carry your suitcase up if you're on the top floor. Noise could be an issue. I heard doors opening and closing and people coming up the stairs, and Friday night was louder. The shower water wasn't very warm, and at times there wasn't any. For the price and the age of the building, it feels like things even out.

The host wasn't reasonable when I tried to deal with the problem, and once you're booked and locked in, it feels like you have no option except to cut your losses. The room faces the train tracks and highway, so there was noise most of the night and again very early in the morning. The bed won't suit someone who's 6 feet tall. The experience was poor, and the rooms don't look like the ones in the posted reviews. I'm trying to upload pictures of what you actually get once I figure out how.

The bathroom was gross, the rooms felt unfinished, and hardly anything worked. It was extremely noisy and bright, and the laundry setup was completely unusable. The worst Airbnb I've ever stayed in. If you can find somewhere else, it can't be much worse. Stay away.

The location is ideal for getting to the nearby park, trains, restaurants, Chinatown, and theater district. The place needs renovation, though. The stairs are steep and uneven, and the bathroom needs an upgrade. I also wish they changed the sheets more often than every 3-4 days.
