Homewood Suites by Hilton Boston Seaport District

The complimentary breakfast was amazing, with a spacious, clean seating area. Self-check-in through the app actually worked, unlike at many other Hilton properties. There aren't many nearby restaurants, but it's convenient that Doordash, Grubhub, and Uber Eats deliver. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, and the beverages shop by reception had a fair selection of beer and wine at economical prices. The pool was the big disappointment, which is why I came to write this review. The website photo is deceptive. It's bizarrely small, and the water was barely warm even in mid-November. With young kids, that's a serious deal-breaker. We were so disappointed after trying it once that we didn't go back during our three-day stay. You'd expect two connected hotels with a thousand rooms to have a pool that could fit a few dozen people, but this one can only fit a handful. There were six of us in there and it already felt crowded.

Yanisa, the manager, was amazing: friendly and quick to sort out issues. The front desk service was great, and the valet was really friendly too. I just stayed at the Hilton seaport and had an amazing visit. The pool was warm and nice, the shower outside it was a good addition, and the selection of drinks, snacks, and softs was good.

The breakfast was a nice extra, and the staff were professional and helpful. I’m usually pretty picky about hotels, but Homewood suites did better than I expected. We had two rooms, both clean and fresh-smelling, with comfortable beds and plenty of space. My girls had a great time, and I’d book here again.

We’d stayed here three times over the past two years and loved it, but this visit has pretty much made sure we won’t return. I came down with a stomach bug on our last morning and threw up in the bathroom. I obviously didn’t mean for that to happen. At checkout, we told the desk, and they thanked us for letting them know. Nobody mentioned a fee, so finding a $250 cleaning charge on our account later was a shock. That turned what had been an affordable family stay into an expensive one. I’d suggest looking elsewhere.
