Perkins Inn

Breakfast was always a treat, and the place was quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. Aaron and the staff were friendly and easygoing, and our room was nice. The bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. I usually don’t like softer mattresses, but this one was divine. Maybe it was all the walking we did, or maybe it was the bed, but my partner and I both felt great in our backs throughout the stay.

The breakfast the next morning was a lovely surprise, and everything tasted delicious. Aaron was helpful, friendly, and attentive to the guests’ every detail. The house is warm and comfortable, with beautiful colonial architecture and design. My room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and from the moment I arrived, they made me feel at home. I loved staying here and will come back next year. Thank you!

The hosts are really nice, and the rooms are comfortable and well appointed. You can walk all around the area from here. This place feels so homey, with its authentic design and beautiful Victorian woodwork. It’s an incredibly clean, well managed historic building in the heart of Boston and Jamaica plain. There’s nothing else like it in Boston today.

The breakfasts were great, and coffee, tea, fruit, and light snacks are available any time. There’s also a separate kitchen guests can use for cooking or storing chilled food. Carolyn, the manager, has just the right mix of spunk and efficiency. We loved the bed and the newly refinished en suite bathroom, too. The Perkins Inn was as charming as we’d hoped from the online reviews. It’s rare to find a place that’s both such a delight and reasonably priced. We’d definitely stay again and recommend it to friends going to Boston.
