I’m still waiting for my deposit back. I keep emailing and calling, but no one has responded.

We waited over an hour to get into our room because a line had formed in the lobby at 10 pm. I had an early flight and was willing to take the stairs to the 18th floor, but was told they only went up to the mezzanine. I said that couldn’t be right, since either they were lying or breaking city ordinances. I don’t know which, but they didn’t help us.

The room was worn and dated, with grimy furniture, a nicked coffee table, and torn curtains with a cigarette burn hole. The carpet was filthy, and there was something sticky with a long hair stuck to it on the table. I can’t understand how the cleaner missed soda splatters all over the white wall, the first thing I noticed when I walked in. A chemical smell lingered even after I left the windows open all day. The bathroom was clean, the front desk staff were nice, and the location was good, but the place felt like a dump. I’m surprised it stays open or gets good reviews.

Everyone was very accommodating throughout our visit. From the front desk team to the kind housekeeping crew, they took care of anything we asked for. We’d definitely stay here again when we’re in Boston.

We’ll book this place again when we’re back in Boston. It’s a great base, close to the historical quarter and plenty of places to eat, and we had a wonderful stay.
