The College Club of Boston

Our room was gorgeous, with a huge bed, nice linens, and a set of pillows, plus a very spacious bathroom. The hotel also has an elevator. Breakfast was excellent, and there’s a great coffee machine with excellent coffee and a big selection of tea. During the day, we could have coffee, tea, and cookies with nuts or chocolate. There’s a refrigerator and microwave in the dining room for your food. The location is excellent too, right next to a park and Newbury Street in a beautiful, safe area, with the river nearby for walks. Everything was a 20 out of 10.

The location is perfect, but the hospitality is what made this place feel like a very cool friend’s home. From check-in on, everyone was kind and welcoming. Nick, the chef, was especially thoughtful. I was working at a table on the second floor, and he brought me a warmed-up lava cake, then soup and other snacks. He said he wanted guests to feel the hospitality when staying somewhere like this. I didn’t catch the names of the staff turning over the rooms, but they greeted me warmly every day. Breakfast was generous and good. I chose the shared bathroom because it was more affordable, and it worked out great. I only had to wait once during my 3-night stay, and it was clean and tidy each day. On checkout day, the staff let me work in the dining room and use the B&B for the whole day. I’d recommend it to anyone and can’t wait to come back!

Breakfast was yummy, and they accommodated my diet requests, thank you! We also appreciated being able to store our luggage after checkout. The common area had plenty of water and snacks, plus a fridge. Our ensuite room was clean and well kept, and the staff were friendly. The location was amazing, and we felt our money was well spent. 10/10, I’d recommend it and come back.

The hotel has beautifully decorated rooms and such friendly, welcoming staff. I also enjoyed reading about the club’s history. It’s easy to walk to the train station, Copley place, the airport shuttle bus drop off/pick up point, Boston common park, and lots of lovely restaurants and cafes. Common wealth Avenue is wonderful for a walk too. A fantastic place to stay in Boston. I’d highly recommend it and would definitely return.
