Extended Stay America Suites Seattle Bothell Canyon Park

I’ve been here for 99 nights so far and plan to stay longer. My room has the furniture I need and is laid out well for cooking, resting, and everyday life. The couch is comfortable, too. The building is clean, and I’ve enjoyed the common spaces, especially the lounge with its tables and seating and the outdoor pool area, which has a picnic table under a rain cover. I’ve eaten meals there. The office park setting keeps things reasonably quiet, with little car traffic on 17th Avenue Southeast, and the trees are lovely. It’s also close to Canyon Park Park and Ride, where Soud Transit and Community Transit routes are accessible. I’ve regularly commuted to Bellevue from here. Highly recommend, 5/5 stars.

The convenient access to the highway and nearby food options is about the only good thing I can say. The inside had a horrendous smell, and I found dog poop on the stairwell. There were guests walking barefoot in the lobby, and the place felt offensively unsanitary for somewhere to sleep. The exercise room is nearly empty and should be removed. Laundry costs an aggressive $5 per wash and $5 per dry. I don’t usually write reviews, but people looking for a budget stay should know: I’d spend extra to avoid this experience.

My mom was given an extremely disgusting room while she had two babies with her, and the staff treated her very poorly. When she asked for a comp or something because of the condition, they treated her horribly and told her to leave. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Spend your money somewhere better.

The room was supposed to have a queen bed and a pullout couch, but the first night the couch was completely broken and wouldn’t open. At the desk, I filled out a repair request and was told maintenance would check it. Nothing happened the next day, so our kid got the bed and we slept on the floor. The floor was so dirty that I spent my own money scrubbing it, and the water was almost black when I finished. It’s clear housekeeping doesn’t take time to clean properly. They never fixed the couch. They said we could move rooms, but only after we’d brought everything in, and then a couple of days later. That’s extremely inconvenient. The rooms were dirty, furniture was broken, and there were ants. I’d tell anyone staying here to lift the sheets and look at the mattress. I gave it another chance and stayed again, but some areas still smelled bad. Then Bothell police woke us by banging on a door down the hall because a woman was slapping and beating someone in another room. I told the front desk, and the woman said there was nothing they could do. This is no way to run a hotel. It might work for one night if you don’t care about any of that, but it’s just sad.
