Holiday Inn Express Bothell by IHG

The breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were so friendly and attentive that we felt at home. I'd recommend this place to anyone after a relaxing getaway.

We arrived at the Holiday Inn Express at 1 a.m. after a rough start next door. We'd booked and paid the Comfort Inn more than 30 days ahead, but they turned us away over the deposit, saying they couldn't accept our bank card. We had three different cards, an eight-hour drive behind us, and two kids with us. They offered no solution, and after losing $374, paying for another hotel seemed tough. The woman at Holiday Inn Express was incredibly kind and treated us so well. I wish I remembered her name. She gave us a fantastic rate that covered an extra day beyond what we'd expected. The room was spotless and breakfast was perfect. We'll stay here from now on. If you're unsure, go for it. It was worth everything. Thank you, Holiday Inn.

Lilia at the front desk deserves a special mention. She listened to my concerns about the room, helped me out, and found a solution that put my mind at ease. The service felt kind and human, not stiff like at some higher-end places. My room was modern and stylish, with comfortable, quality furniture and two free bottles of Kirkland water. The indoor pool and hot tub were so clean I wanted to jump right in, and there was good free coffee and hot water for tea around the clock. It has no frills, but includes everything you need and then some, and was flawlessly clean. I felt completely comfortable and happy here. This affordable gem has me planning a return visit.

The breakfast area was kept in great shape, though one staff member was handling it alone. During the rush, a young man spilled all his coffee on the chairs and floor, and she spent ten minutes cleaning it up. I thought US$5, or Canadian$7, was a fair tip for her excellent service. The high-tech coffee machine made good Costa coffee, so I didn't need to stop at Starbucks for a dark coffee as I'd planned. The guest room was huge, with snow-white bedding, a distinctive closet, and a safe that opens upward. The decor was nice, and everything seemed very well maintained. For the price, it's a very nice facility. My one small disappointment was that the August 8, 2025 front-desk staff weren't smiling. I'd give it 99 out of 100 and we'll be back soon. I also recommend adding EV chargers onsite.
