Best Western Plus Boulder Inn

After traveling, it felt good to be welcomed by such friendly, helpful staff. We loved the balcony and the windows with their long curtains. Breakfast was very complete, and making fresh waffles in the waffle maker was especially easy and fun. The bathroom, particularly the toilet, could use an update, though I personally like the white tiles.

So glad to find a pool, and the service and space were fantastic. We did have to change rooms from the one we started in. There were a few black hairs in the bed, though neither my boyfriend nor I have black hair, and a cigarette ash on the bathroom floor in a no-smoking facility. It was a great stay and the rooms were nice, but housekeeping standards need a serious update.

The shower was fantastic and felt like the kind you’d get in a luxury hotel. The room looked modern and upscale, with a large desk and a smaller wheeled one you could move around. I liked the hardwood floors and the rug by the bed instead of wall-to-wall carpet, and the robes were a nice extra. The lobby was warm and inviting, and the team were friendly and helpful. We had to ask for a hair dryer in the morning because there wasn’t one in the room. I’d also have liked coffee in the lobby around the clock and a full breakfast, but I understand that wasn’t possible during COVID. I wouldn’t take off any stars for that.

It’s easy to walk to both university campuses, and there are some good shops very close by. Even though the hotel sits among other hotels and apartment blocks near two major roads, it feels peaceful and relaxed, and the landscaping around the property is nice. My room was gorgeous, though I understand it’s one of the model rooms, so the rest of the hotel may not be at that standard yet. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I enjoyed my stay. I’d definitely return on another visit to Boulder.
