Hampton Inn by Hilton Concord/Bow

I’d stay here again. The rooms were clean and thoughtfully laid out, and the beds and linens were very good. The TV has two easy-to-reach HDMI ports, handy if you bring a Fire Stick, Roku, or game console. The shower pressure was really low, though, and there was no shower gel. The pool was standard, nothing special, and the pool room felt a little cold and uninviting.

My one complaint, enough to cost a star, is the desk chair. It fits the room’s look, but function should come first. It wasn’t ergonomic and didn’t even have basic height or tilt adjustments. We all use laptops now, so people will actually need that chair. I’ve started using Hampton Inn as my go-to mid-range hotel because it’s stepped up its game compared with others. The rooms and beds are nice, and the breakfast buffets are better and more varied.

Tom at the front desk was friendly and helpful, and breakfast was great. We booked at the last minute during a trip and had a cozy room with two queen beds. Everything worked well and the room was exceptionally clean. The beds were awesome, and I slept great. There were basic TV channels, plus the option to sign in to Netflix, Hulu, and other services. I loved the hotel’s vibe, and checkout at 12pm was the best part. It was a comfortable, pleasant stay, and I’d come back.

Be careful with the cancellation policy: it’s 5 days. If your plans change even 3-4 days ahead, they’ll charge you for the room. Cancel 4 days before your visit and you’ll still be charged, and they’ll fight credit card chargebacks to enforce the policy. It’s a good hotel overall, family friendly, with a pool and so on, but be completely sure of your plans before booking.
