Diamond Lake Cabins

That view is hard to put into words 😍😇. We’ve been to the cabins five times now, mostly staying in the Tall Pine. On this latest weekend, the newer hot tub worked great and we had hot water for showers. There have been hiccups over the years, but we know things can happen beyond anyone’s control, and the owners have always made our stay better. We absolutely love the cabins.

The outdoor space made the trip for us, with lovely views, room to unwind, and the hot tub, grill, and fire ring. We spent three days and two nights here with a large group, and the cabin had plenty of space. Inside was clean and cozy, with comfortable places to sleep, several bathrooms, and a kitchen that had what we needed. The smart TVs and WiFi were nice extras. It was a great balance of comfort and convenience, and we’d happily come back.

The fishing really sets this place apart. The lake is fully stocked, with trophy Largemouth over 5 lb and plenty of Bluegill around a pound or bigger, some 10 inches or more. Add in the top notch cabins and a location far from everything, and it makes for a wonderful nature getaway. If you’re after what’s probably the best pond fishing in Ohio, make the trip. You won’t be disappointed.

We’ve been visiting Diamond Lake Cabins for 10 years, always in October to see the leaves change. It’s peaceful and relaxing, and a good place to disconnect and enjoy nature. Dave, the owner, is a great guy, and Jessica in the office is always helpful. There’s an outdoor fire pit, hot tub, and both charcoal and gas grills. It’s remote, about an hour’s drive to Sugarcreek on a beautiful route, and roughly 30 minutes from Tappan lake.
