Quality Inn Bowling Green South

We didn't have a reservation, but the guy at the desk was accommodating when we stopped in. The room was clean and comfortable, and definitely above board. We usually stay at quality inn, and this one lived up to that. I'd stay here again.

Good price, nice clean room, and a really friendly man at the front desk. I'd definitely stay again.

The bed was clean and very comfortable, and the guy who checked us in was funny and pleasant. That was the good part. Our smoking room was only standard at best, with a filthy mirror, wall and chair stains, and a loose toilet that rattled when we sat down or stood up. The floor felt gritty and left our feet black, like it hadn't been swept or mopped in months. We pulled the refrigerator out after dropping something beside it and found it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years, with a chicken bone underneath and something gross in the freezer. We won't be back. The rooms need a deep clean and major updates. Smoking rooms can still be clean, and the online photos looked like they were from when the hotel was brand new.

The room smelled of mold or mildew as soon as we walked in, maybe from the AC. We stayed six nights with our cat. One evening we left around 1:30 and got back about 8:30 to find the door cracked open. We checked that our cat was inside, then asked the older man at the office if housekeeping had been in. He said yes. They'd only opened the curtain. No vacuuming, bed making, towels or toilet paper. They didn't have to do all that, but since they'd entered the room, I'd expected something to have been done. What really bothered me was the open door. It takes two seconds to check that it's shut. Someone could have gone in and taken our cat or our things. The guy just said the doors usually close. That's why I'm giving one star. We won't stay again.
