Ramada Bowling Green

The bedding was clean and comfortable, and we slept well because it was quiet. The shower was nice and hot. The place felt a little run down and somewhat dirty. I was disappointed the restaurant wasn't open Saturday night, though we did arrive a bit late.

We could relax on the back porch overlooking the pool, which was wonderful. The food at the on-site restaurant was amazing, too. It was our first stay here, and even though the hotel was full that weekend, it stayed quiet. Our room was very clean and lovely.

After driving 1600 miles, I was looking forward to a hot shower, but the filthy bathtub put me off using it. The toilet seat was much too small for the bowl. The bathroom smelled like marijuana, apparently drifting in from smoking allowed in other rooms. The room worked for sleeping, but we won't come back.

The location worked well for our Christmas visit, and the hotel was clean. I was there four days with my household, and I have other family in the area. Breakfast is offered, but it was lacking, with biscuits hard like hockey pucks. We couldn't take food to our room, which made things difficult with my social needs child, who has trouble going downstairs to eat. An employee watched us the whole time, which made me very uncomfortable, so we stopped going to breakfast. At 6am on Christmas morning, someone was pressure washing outside and woke everyone in our room. The towels were small, and there weren't many in the bathroom. There were no sheets for the pull out bed, just blankets, which kept slipping off. The bar also gets noisy late at night with motorcycles and trucks, a problem if you're a light sleeper. Since we come to the area twice a year, we'll probably stay somewhere that fits our needs better next time.
