I gave them a reservation and an arrival time, but the office was locked and nobody picked up after I called numerous times. I've stayed at El Vu every year for over 20 years while visiting the area. Eventually someone answered, said they didn't know about our reservation, and told me the staff had no car to get to the office and help us. The customer service was garbage. I'd give it zero stars if I could. Don't waste your time.

The atmosphere is laid back, the rooms are clean and nice, and the shower pressure is excellent. I'd definitely stay again. Thanks!

The rooms were absolutely spotless, and the parking and location were both great. Furniture is dated but in good shape. Staff were super friendly and helpful, and the rates are very affordable.

This has become one of my favorite places to stay, and somehow it cost less than the Super 8. There are two buildings: the older one has cozy 70s decor and a reasonably soft bed, while the newer one has big, brand new rooms with full kitchens, almost like an extended stay. The newer beds are fantastic, comfy and supportive. Even the towels stood out, big, proper ones like you'd have at home that wrap all the way around a grown man's waist, nothing like the usual cheap white hotel towels.

The motel has a For Sale sign out front, and the deferred maintenance is obvious both outside and in the room. It's old and worn out. We stayed one night, and I can't recommend it. The carpet was old and heavily stained, and the ceiling had lots of water stains. It needs an owner who can fix it up, or it should be shut down.
