For three days, using the bathroom meant going down four floors to the lobby. Our toilet only worked for one flush after someone plunged it, and repeated reports to the front desk brought no fix. They said maintenance would be called, but there were no rooms available when we asked to move. One employee offered to transfer us to a sister hotel, then another said he shouldn't have made that offer. On the third day I was in tears, begging to change rooms. They finally agreed, but gave us just 30 minutes to move everything. No one apologized until I asked for part of the stay to be refunded. The broken toilet made the room hard to use, and I'm still considering disputing the charges. The room was dirty too: grime and hair in the bathroom corners, filthy walls, and carpet that needed cleaning. Breakfast was another problem. One day it started late, so my husband missed a meal. On another, we arrived with 90 minutes left and found no food. When I asked if more would be made, the answer was no. Before we arrived, I called again and again for hours to ask about an early check-in, but nobody answered. This was a huge disappointment for our family of four, and we won't return.
Bozeman was beautiful, but the hotel was a shock. The room floors were stained and unswept, and the bathroom was dirty. I asked the front desk to change the sheets and vacuum while we were out, but neither got done. The website photos give a very different impression from what you'll find in the room. Breakfast was mixed: the cereal was good, but the eggs were watery, the bacon sat soggy in grease, and there was just one small waffle maker. The trash cans, both inside and outside, were constantly overflowing. When the front desk clerk asked how our stay was, I told the truth. They seemed surprised and didn't appear to care. Corporate should send an undercover boss to see the condition of this place. I won't stay here again.
We came back for a second stay because the beds are really comfortable and it's quiet. The bathroom wasn't in good shape, though: the toilet seat was broken, and a soaking wet shower mat towel was draped over the tub. I have no idea why it was wet. The night clerk was a good guy. We'd stay again.
The room smelled strongly of body odor and stale smoke as soon as I walked in, and the odor clung to my clothes. There were crumbs around the room, used Q-tips in the trash, hair on the bathroom floor and bed linens, and what looked like blood on the bathroom walls. The sheets didn't look changed, and the mattress had a plastic cover with an unpleasant smell. The downstairs public restroom was dirty and had no toilet paper, and my room's toilet barely flushed. After the first night, I asked the front desk for a clean room or a refund for my four-night stay, which cost about $1,250. The clerk said a refund wasn't possible since I booked online, but offered another room. That room had crumbs by the beds, food debris near the door, stained towels, and hair on the bathroom floor too. Breakfast was poor, and one morning there wasn't any coffee. I spent all four nights there and left extremely unhappy. This was nothing like the positive reviews I'd read before booking. I'd appreciate the property owner responding to these problems and explaining how these conditions were allowed. I can't recommend staying here. This is the first negative review I've ever written, and it reflects how disappointed I was.
We liked the location, and the rooms are spacious. Breakfast is included, and it's handy that there's an Outback Steakhouse on site, so you can walk over for dinner, though we didn't eat there. For toiletries, there's shampoo and conditioner in the shower, but no body wash, just a small bar of soap. Body lotion comes in a bottle mounted on the wall.
